VET FEE-HELP
What is VET FEE-HELP?
VET FEE-HELP is a Federal Government program to financially support students in vocational education.
Does VET FEE-HELP cover all my course costs?
VET FEE-HELP only covers tuition fees, which includes things like course materials and paying workshop leaders. It can't pay for things like food, accommodation and travel.
Do I have to pay VET FEE-HELP back?
Yes. VET FEE-HELP is a loan, which is paid back when you pay tax. However, you only have to start paying FeeHELP back once your annual income (before tax) reaches a certain amount.
How much can I earn before I have to start paying VET FEE-HELP back?
In 2009-2010, the amount was $43,151.
For more information on this, download the
VET FEE-HELP Information Booklet

I would like to pay some of the course fees myself. Can I use VET FEEHELP to pay the rest?
Yes. Some students will have a part of their course fees paid by themselves, a relative or their church or agency. You can cover the difference with FeeHELP
I've already studied before and have a HECS/HELP debt. Can I still get VET FEE-HELP?
Yes. You can borrow up to $83,313 over your lifetime
. See the
