Restorative Justice Training

Centacare in Bendigo is running some training on Restorative Justice, a way of dealing with young offenders and victims in a restorative, rather than a retributive way.
What's the difference? Restorative Justice aims to get offenders and victims together, face to face, so that offenders can see the damage they have caused, and victims can have their say. Usually, the criminal justice system punishes offenders, but with no real way of them being restored to the community; restorative just aims to rectify that.
